Often, seeds of many species lie dormant within the layers of a forest floor, some for quite a long time. When a fire comes through, it can create conditions in which these seeds germinate, grow and even thrive. Though the scars of the fire remain, out of devastation and tragedy, a new though somewhat different forest emerges.

More and more, I am feeling like one of these seeds...
